Abstract
A lipstick holder case comprising an outer sleeve (1) and an inner tube (10) in which relative rotation of these two causes axial movement of the lipstick holder cup, a bush (3), connected for rotation with the inner tube (10), a base (5) into which the bush (3) is fixed by means of undercut elastic tabs (6), on the lower inner part of the base, which lock in holes on the lower part of the bush; and an outer cap (9) to protect the mechanism and the lipstick. <IMAGE>
Description
LIPSTICK HOLDER CASE
Some already known lipstick holder or cosmetic holder cases comprise: a mechanism including an outer sleeve, with spiral grooves on the inner wall, and an inner tube for supporting a lipstick holder cup, which co-operate by means of rotation, to move the cup in an upward or downward direction; a base into which the bottom of the inner tube is fixed by glueing; and a protection top or cap.
A case is already known corresponding to French published application No. 2 393 547, in which the connecting means between the base of the case and the bottom of the inner tube consists of a small cylinder, projecting from the lower inner wall of the base of the case and onto which the bottom of the inner tube is mounted.
These systems, however, involve certain drawbacks; the second involves some difficulty in assembly as well as the possibility of the small cylinder being broken during assembly; the difficulty with the first is that glue must be used at a high temperature.
The aim of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks.
According to the present invention, there is provided a lipstick holder case comprising a mechanism, said mechanism comprising an outer sleeve with spiral grooves on the inside, containing an inner tube and a lipstick holder cup, the said elements rotationally cooperating to move the cup, further comprising a base rotationally integral with the bottom of the said inner tube, the mechanism also comprising a bush, which receives the bottom of the inner tube in an integral way to the rotation, and is in its turn integral to the rotation with the said base.
The bush may advantageously be made of a plastic or a metal.
The advantages obtained by means of the present invention consist essentially in that glueing at a high temperature is avoided; the connecting means between the base and the mechanism is not damaged and the assembly is much easier.
The invention will further be understood from the following descriptions when taken together with the accompanying drawings, which are given by way of example only and in which:
Figure 1 is a view of the case on an enlarged scale, shown partially in front elevation and partially in axial section along 1-1 in figure 2;
Figure 2 is a horizontal sectional view of the case along 2-2 in figure 1 on an enlarged scale;
Figure 3 is an enlarged sectional view of the base of the case along 3-3 in figure 4;
Figure 4 is a top plan view of the base of the case, on an enlarged scale.
The figures show a lipstick holder case. This comprises a mechanism 1 already known in itself, comprising an outer sleeve, with spiral grooves on the inner wall (not visible in the figures), which contains an inner coaxial tube; the sleeve and the inner tube co-operate by means of relative rotation to move a lipstick holder or cosmetic holder cup 2 in an upward or downward direction.
A bush 3, preferably consists of one single cupshaped piece in plastic, comprising a part having a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the sleeve.
The mechanism 1 is partially inserted into the bush and rotationally co-operates with it though thin vertical grooves 4 on the bottom 10 of the inner tube and on the inner wall of the bush 3.
A base 5 of the case has a bottom inner wall from which undercut elastic tabs 6 project, onto which the bush is fixed; this has holes 7, passing through its base; the tabs 6 penetrate and lock into the said holes.
Preferably a ballast 8 positioned between the tabs on the base and the bottom 10 of the inner tube 2, to add weight to the case.
A casing or cap 9 for the protection of the mechanism and the lipstick rests directly on the bush 3.
Claims (7)
1. A lipstick holder case comprising a mechanism, said mechanism comprising an outer sleeve with spiral grooves on the inside, containing an inner tube and a lipstick holder cup, the said elements rotationally cooperating to move the cup, further comprising a base rotationally integral with the bottom of the said inner tube, the mechanism also comprising a bush, which receives the bottom of the inner tube in an integral way to the rotation, and is in its turn integral to the rotation with the said base.
2. A lipstick holder case according to claim 1, characterized in that from the inner bottom wall of the base undercut elastic tabs project, onto which said bush is fixed.
3. A lipstick holder case according to claim 2, characterized in that the base of the bush has holes in correspondence with the said tabs on the bottom of the base, into which holes the tabs penetrate and lock.
4. A lipstick holder case according to claim 2 or 3, characterized by comprising a ballast positioned in a space between the tabs of the base and the bottom of the support tube.
5. A lipstick holder case according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the bush is made of metal.
6. A lipstick holder case according to any one of claims 1-5 wherein the bush is made of a plastic.
7. A lipstick holder case constructed and arranged to generate substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the attached drawings.
