Description

Title:An ImP PL ved Structure for An Elbow Pipe The present invention relates to an im-proved structure of an elbow pipe which comprises an elbow pipe and a plurality of needle bearings. The conventional elbow pipe for wires is usually madw by molding into one piece. For laying aire purpose, the pipe is to be installes at variaus sections, and the wire is also to be laid at various corresponding sections;it is particularly thue when a cable or wire having a larger diameter is to be laid in a pipe;moreaver, the cable or wire has to be bent is advance in accordance with the curve of an elbaw pipe. In such case, the installation work of the albow pipe and cable takes more time and manpower.
In order to minimige the resistance of pulling a cable or wire through an elbow pipe, the outer surface of a cable or wire is coated with grease or wax before being pulled; as a result, the working personnel are subject to being stained with grease or wax. When a cable or wire is coated with a grease or wax for a long time, the surface of a cable or wire might be damaged as a result of chemical process. Moreover, the surface of a cable or wire might be damaged by a friction upon being pulled through the elbow pipe; in that case, the serviceable life of that cable or wire mighe be reduced.
The prime object of the present invention is to provide an improved structure for an elbow pipe, where by the time and manpower for pulling a cable or wire throught a pipe ling may be reduced, and the outer surface of a cable or wire may not be coated with grease or wax,and not be damaged during pulling;therefore, the serviceable life of the cable or wire can be lasted for a longer time.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an improved structure for an elbow pipe.of which the installation operation is simple and practical, and the manufacturing cost is lower.
According to the present invention, it mainly comprises an elbow pipe and a plurality of needle bearings. The elbow pipe includes a bady portion and a detashable cover portion;the external lower port of the elbow pipe has a flange, and the inside surface of that flange has a channel, of which both sides are pranided a plurality of opposite mounting recesses.
The needle bearing includes two needle sleeves, a plurality of needles, and a roller;the needle bearings are to be mounted across the opposite mounting recesses respectinely in a rolling manner.
A preferred embodiment of the present invention will now be described,by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying diagrammatic drawings in which: FIG.1 is an embadiment according to the present invention.
FIG.1-1 is a sectional view taken along line A-A in FIG. 1.
FIG.l-2 is an enlarged sectional view of FIG.1-1.
FIG.2 is auother embodiment according to the present invention.
FIG.2-1 is a sectional view taken along line B-B in FIG. 2.
FIG.2-2 is a side view of FIG.2.
Referring to FIG.l,the embodiment of the present invention mainly comprises an elbow pipe 10 and a needle bearing 20. The elbow pipe 10 further includes a body portion 11 and a cover portion 12 which can symmetrically be mounted on the bady portion 11 in a detacbable manner; in other words, the bady portion 11 and the cover portion 12 are two similar and apposite members, of which the battom portions are formed into two similar and opposite semi-flange portions 111 and 121; both semi-flange portions can form into a complete flange 13. The inner side of the complete flange 13 has a channel, which has a plarality of opposite mounting recesses 131. The outer surface of the bady portion 11 and the cover portion 12 is provided with a plurality of opposite lugs 14 having screw holes 141 respectively.By means of such lugs -14 and screws, the body portion 11 and the cover portion 12 can be assembled together.
The needle bearing 20 includes two needle sleeves 21,a plvrality of needles 22 and two rollers 23. The needle hearing 20 is mounted in the opposite mounting recesses 131 on the inner part of the complete flange 13;the needle hearing can prowide a rolling roller to facilitate a cable or the like to pass through the elbow pipe 10 smoothly without coating grease or wax, which would cause dirt and pollution.
The way of using the present invention is described as follows: The elbow pipe is first installed in a suitable pasition designed, and is connected with a suitable pipe line,in which a picce of iron wire,or copper wire ,or plastic rope is inserted so as to connect with the cable or elcctric wire to be installed therein. The cable or rlectri wire can be pulbed through ,and the pipe line can be installed at one time instead of using the conventional method of installing the pipe and pulling the cable or electric at different sections and time, and coating grease on the cable or electric wire to be pulled;in other words, the present invention can save time and manpower in the installation of pipe line and cable or electric wire without causing the coble or electric wire to be damaged during pulling operation. In the conventional method of pulling a cable or electric wire through a pipe line, the cable or electric wire is susceptible to damage and to measure the length of such cable or electric wire before pulling through.
FIG.2 illustrates auother embadiment of the prcsent invention,of which the elbow pipe 30 comprises a bady portion 31 and a detachable cove portion 32. The bottom of the body portion 31 is formed into a flange 33, of which the internal surface has a channel; both sides of the channel are provided with a plarality of apposite mounting recesses 331; each pair of the opposite mounting recesses are installed with one needle bearing 40 that is the same as the aforesaid needle bearing. The connection between the body portion 31 and the cover portion 32 is done with a tenon 311 and a mortise 321; the external surfaces of both the body portion and the cover portion are furnished with two opposite and aligned lugs 312 and 322 with coincident holes to be fixed together with a screw. Both ends of the elbow pipe 30 are provided with threaded portions 36 and 37 respectively for attaching two nuts 38 and 39 respectively so as to increase the connection strength between the body portion 31 and the cover portion 32. Furthermore, the needle bearing 40 may also be replaced with rollers.
The operation of the present invention has more advantages than the previous application as fallows: (1) A cable or wire is easy to be pulled through the present invention because of having a large connection part between the body portion and the cover portion.
(2) The bady portion and the cover portion are held together by means of screws in a detachable manner; therefore, it is deemed accurate and durable than using adhesives to glue the tenon and mortise parts.
(3) Particularly, both the body portion and the cover portion of the first embodiment according to the present invention can be cast with one set of mold so as to lower the manufacturing cost and to benefit the consumers.
