Abstract

A corner block having a case in two halfs, housing a reel and line. The handle fits over the spindle. The line can be pulled out or wound in when the handle is extended. When the handle is locked this restricts movement in the reel and allows the line to be pulled tight. <IMAGE>

Description

DESCRIPTION BRICKLAYERS AID Conventional Method.
A Bricklayer would normally use a line and pins or a line and wooden blocks to build a house or wall etc as seen in drawing No 1.
The line in most cases when not in use is wrapped around the pins or an odd piece of wood.
My Invention is Drawing No 2.
1. This is a plastic block which houses the line.
2. It is lockable enabling the line to be pulled tight.
3. It has an automatic line cleaner which removes cement etc from the line when reeling it in.
As most tradesmen use a line from time to time, I have incorporated a level and a two or three metre tape measure for a deluxe model, obviously to be used individually to make a three in one compact little tool to hang on one's belt.
Drawing 2a is an exploded view of drawing 2.

Claims (1)

  1. 3 An internal line wound corner block comprising of a shell in two halfs housing a reel with a line wound, and a lockable handle.
    2 An internal line wound corner block as claimed in claim 1 where the reel is free to spin allowing as much line as is required to be pulled through.
    3 An internal line wound corner block as claimed in claims 1 and 2 where the line once at required length can be pulled tight by restricting reel movement by way of locking the handle.
