Abstract

A straw is fitted to a nipple A on the underside of a pull tab of an easy open drinks can. The straw is preferably of a bendy type such that when the ring pull is pulled and the tab is separated from the can lid the straw extends beyond the can lid but still extends to adjacent the can base. <IMAGE>

Description

PROPOSED DETRILS FOR "STRRW IN CAN" Nipple on underside lid of can. The idea is for the straw to be covering the nipple. When the can lid is pulled to the open position, the straw which is tight fit will automatically come up with n lid.
The best type of straw for the best results is the 'bendy' straw. The two reasons being are: 1. When the lid is pulled off the straw, it would project above can and would still reach the bottom.
2. When tke can is filled the lid with straw attached will fit in not being too big at that stage.

Claims (1)

  1. Nipple on underside of the ring pull on lid. The id9a is for the straw to be covering the nipple so when the ring pull is pulled tr open, the straw which is tight fit will automatically come up.
    The best type of straw for the best results is the bend type straw the reasons being: F) When the' ring pull is pulled the straw would come up and project above can but when extended could still reach the bottom S? When can is filled the lid with straw attached will it in not being too big at that stage.
    C) The consumer is then able to drink contents and thus avoiding contact with the lid which could contain bacteria and other foreign bodies erc
