Letter-boxes.-A pillar box 1 for use in public places such as post offices, halls, hotel lounges &c. is combined with a firealarm apparatus 2, a camoperated telephone 3 and coin-freed means 6 for storing and delivering writing material such as stamped envelopes containing note-paper. A writing table 8 illumined by a lamp 9 is also provided, together with anchored pencils or pens and a supply of ink.
