Abstract
The method provides for melting the scrap of aluminium and of its alloys by passing through the melt an alternating current of 2.10<3> to 12.10<3> A and of a voltage of 2 to 11 V and for simultaneously applying to the melt a magnetic field of an intensity of 2.10<3> to 9.10<3> A/m; for correction of the melt composition, heating it up to a dispersion temperature and dispersing it to obtain the powder aluminium while circulating the melt in a closed circuit. An installation for implementing the method comprises a crucible (1) with a discharge channel (3), a filter (8), a dispersing device (6) consisting of a rotating disk and a guiding plate (20), a feeder (5) mounted with an adjustable gap in relation to the dispersing device and a melt guide (2) connected to the crucible (1) so as to form a closed circuit. An electromagnet (10) is mounted on the melt guide (2) and the latter is connected to the discharge channel (3) of the crucible in the zone of location of the magnetic gap of the electromagnet (4).
