Abstract
A buoyant and moored rotatable well-head, riser and drilling support structure for production, storage and transfer of hydrocarbons offshore using a floating vessel. The well-heads with Christmas trees can be located dry in the vessel support structure, or at the sea bed as subsea completion, with flexible flow-lines pulled through J-tubes in the support structure or fixed risers connected to the sea bottom. The hydrocarbon fluids or injection water or gas can be transferred between the anchored rotatable support structure and the production and storage vessel via flexible pipes, and a double manifold and valve system. Drilling and completion of surface wells can be performed using a light movable derrick structure supported on top of the well-head area which is anchored to the sea bottom. The production and storage vessel will be free to rotate around this anchored support structure according to optimum weather direction and will provide all drilling rig support systems and production systems connected via flexible pipes and cables. The surface well-heads are supported by a tensioning system at the top of the support structure and are free to move through the conductor pipes in the support structure. Flexible flow-lines from subsea wells or export risers can be pulled through J-tubes or vertical pipes in the support structure.
