Abstract

An electrically operated valve comprises an electromagnet (14) with a plunger core (12), a free valve member (3) displaceable in a cavity (13) between two oppositely disposed seats (4,5), and a thrust means (33) which may or may not be fixed with respect to the plunger core (12) for actuating the valve member (3) which is also subjected to the force of a spring (15). The first seat (4) is positioned by means of a tool with respect to an abutment surface (38) for the plunger core (12) before the valve member (3) is set in position. The second seat (5) is formed in a closure portion (20) which is progressively driven into position in the assembly operation, while the variation in pressure and/or flow rate of a fluid supplying the valve is observed. The present valve makes it possible to carry out an automated and reliable adjustment process and permits production of its component parts with relatively wide dimensional tolerances. <IMAGE>

Description

ELECTFICAL1Y OPERATED, V-LVE AN:-" PROCESS 1,73F TI-IE.
The present Lnve--i-.-JCr, concerns an e-".ect=-.callv cu--raz--.4 valve at least one elect-ranagnet having a pluncer core, a free valve member which is disn,;Rceabie in a cavIty between two oppositely di=s&- seats s, =--otL-dina the cc=---es=nding orif ices of two f.' rst pneunatic conduits, said cavity also ccmmn.,ca-.-,ng with a thi-rd pneumatic c.-.nduilb", and camris:--19 means which are fixed with rest--- to the plunger core of the s-lec--mmanet to cause the valve Rerbp-- to close one or ot-her of said orifices in de----ndence on the position of said core, said cavity being provided wit-h. a closure portion which is accessible the exterior of the valve.
Electrically operated valves of that type are known and are available on the market. Thev cene---&'-'v suffer- from the disadvantage of being of a relatively high manufac-.,-=9 cost for given levels of pe=------..nance, in particular bv vi--.ue of the need for close production tolerances and delicacy of ad-justTent.
The doject of Ce inventlon is to provide an electz-ically.
