Abstract

A box 2 contains a plastics tray 4 having a plurality of integrally moulded depressions 6a to 6j. A plurality of hollow shapes 8a to 8j are each received in a respective depression 6a to 6j. The hollow shapes 8a to 8j generally conform to the contour of the depressions 6a to 6j and received within the shapes 8a to 8j are articles such as rubber contraceptive sheaths. <IMAGE>

Description

A BOX The present invention relates to a box and particularly but not exclusively to a box containing novelty articles.
According to the present invention there is provided r box containing a plastics layer having a plurality of depressions,a plurality of hollow shapes each received in a respective depression and generally conforming to the contour of the depression, and an article received within each hollow shape.
The contour of each depression may be that of a chocolate sweet.
The depression may be integrally moulded with the layer.
The shapes may be moulded plastics.
Each hollow shape may be individually wrapped.
The wrapping may comprise foil or cellophane
Each shape may be attached to its respective depression.
Each article may comprise a rubber contraceptive sheath.
The present invention will be further described by way of example and with reference to thee accompanying drawings in which: iig.l shows a perspective view of an embodiment of a box according to the present invention illustrating a plastics layer having a plurality of depressions.
Fig.2 shows an underside view oe the plastics layer illustrated in figure 1, and Figure 3 a to j show an underside, side and perspective view of each of the shapes received in the depressions of the plastics layer.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 shows a cardboard box 2 containing a transparent plastics sheet 4 in the form o a tray. The plastics sheet 4 is provided with ten integrally moulded depressions 6a to 6j raised above the plane of the sheet 4.Each depression has a contour of a different chocolate sweet.
Received within each depression 6a to 6j is a respective hollow shape 8e to 8j as shown in figures 3a to 3j. Each of figures 3a to 3j show a particular shape in underside, side and perspective view. Each hollow shape 8a to 8j has a contour which conforms to that of a respective depression 6a to 6j and is so attached to its respective depression 6a to 6j by for example adhesive tape as to sit neatly within the depression.
Each hollow shape 8a to 8j is wrapped with for example foil or
cellophane (RTM) and contains a novelty article such as a rubber contraceptive sheath.

Claims (9)

1. A box containing a plastics layer having a plurality of depressions, a plurality of hollow shapes each received in a respective depression and generally conforming to the contour of the depression, and an article received within each hollow shape.
2. A box according to claim 1, wherein the contour of each depression is that of a chocolate sweet.
3. A box according to claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the depressions are integrally moulded with the layer.
4. A box according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the shapes are moulded plastics.
5. A box according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein each hollow shape is individually shaped.
6. A box according to claim 5, wherein the wrapping comprises foil.
7. A box according to claim 5, wherein the wrapping comprises cellophane
8. A box according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein each shape is attached to its respective depression.
9. A box according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein each article comprises a rubber contraceptive sheath.
