Abstract
There are disclosed a method and cooperating means for cladding walls. The method provides for the use of expanding blocs (1) to be introduced through the thickness of the concrete slabs defining the several floors of the building or into the upright pillars thereof, and which operate as anchoring members for plates (5) which support suitably shaped structures (7, 8) which, in turn, support rectilinear doubly bent aluminium sheet elements (13, 21) means (14, 22) also being provided to thermally and acoustically insulate the building's rooms. <IMAGE>
Description
METHOD AND MEANS FOR COATING WALLS OF NEW AND OLD BUILDINGS
The present invention relates to a method and cooperating means for coating the walls of new buildings or buildings to be repaired or put in order.
As is known, outer finishing of buildings in general involves rather complex operations and usually requires a comparatively long time.
These operations, because of different reasons, can also lead to scarcely satisfactory results, different from the expected and desined requirements.
The aim of the present invention is to overcome the above mentioned à-awbacks,b5J providing a method whizz can facilitate conventional operations usually required for coating walls both of new buildings or of buildings to be put in order.
An object of the invention is to provide a method for coating walls of buildings which uscs a very reduced number of means for anchoring the coating elements to the walls to be coated.
Another object of the present invention is to provide means for coating building walls which are very simple construction wise and can be easily installed.
Another object of the present invention is to provide such a method for coating building walls which also affords the possibility of easily fitting to the buildings also not functional or auxiliary systems which were not provided in the original building design,so as to facilitate all of the building maintenance operations.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide such a method for coating building walls which also provides a satisfactory insulation of the buildings.
According to one aspect of the present invention, the above mentioned aim and objects of the present invention,as well as yet other objects, which will become more apparent hereinafter, are achieved by a method for coating walls of buildings in general, characterized in that said method substantially provides for the use of expanding blocs to be inserted into resistant concrete portions of said buildings, said expanding blocs being adapted to anchor plates supporting shaped structures in turn supporting rectilinear daubly bent aluminium
metal sheets, means being moreover provided for assur ing an efficient thermal and agoustic, insulation.
The invention will now be described further by way of
example with reference to the accompanying drawings,
in which
Figure 1 is a horizontal cross-sectional view
taken at the building slab level of a coating made on
a corner portion of a building;
Figure 2 is another horizontal cross-section
view,taken along the building window line,showing a
projecting portion of the coating;
Figure 3 is a vertical cross-section view
illustrating a window arrangement provided with a window
wing rotating about a middle horizontal pivot axis.
With reference to the figures of the accompany
ing drawings, the method for coating walls of buildings
in general according to the present invention, provides for the use of expanding blocs l,which are inserted into and restrained,in any suitable ntimber,on the slabs 2 defining the building floors.
On the outer portion 3 of the stems of the mentioned expanding blocs, which are at least preferably made of stainless steel, there are firmly coupled,by means of bolts 4,a plurality of plates 5.
On these plates there are affixed,by means of bolt pairs 6,two types of differently shaped structures, respectively indicated at 7 and 8,depending on the coating elements to be supported thereby.
More specifically, one of the mentioned structures is provided with a dihedral end portion,of substantially reduced extension, indicated at 9,and with an opposite end of double right angle bent configuraton, indicated at lO,wheress the other structure has its both end portions of dihedral shape, one of said latter portions having a greater extension than the other.
To the above mentioned right angle and dihedral end portions there are affixed bracket members 12 adapted to support,by pairs, aluminium sheets 13 the inner surfaces of which are coated by a layer of an acoustically insulating material 14.
Between the facing, portions of these sheet elements there is moreover provided a polyurethane foam rib 15 which is covered by a silicone layer 16.
The above mentioned bracket elements,in particular can be provided with a shaped projecting lug 17 which defines a sliding vertical guide 18 for small carriages or "nacelles" provided for cleaning the coatings.
To the mentioned shaped lugs there are coupled,by means of gaskets 19 and further bracket elements 20,aluminium sheet elements 21 also made of acoustically insulating materials and defining projecting types of structures.
On the walls of the building; there are further applied glass wool panels 22 with a bakelitized or otherwise processed surface, which is coupled to the walls by means of suitable boss restraining elements 23.
The coating method according to the present invention further provides for the use of window frames 24 of the double glass type or of the thermal shear type.
Above the frames of these windows there is provided an aerating duct 25 which is protected by an grill 26 of suitable configuration.
The window movable 'and" fixed frames are made of aluminium section members and are respectively insule.t- ed by means of gasket pairs 27 and a polyurethane foam rib 15,coated by silicone 16.
From the above disclosure it should be apparent that the invention fully achieves the intended aim and objects.
While the invention has been disclosed and illustrated with reference to a preferred embodiment thereof,it should be apparent that the disclosed embodiment is susceptible to several modifications and variations all of which will come within the scope of the accompanying claims.
