Abstract

A Flight Luggage Security Strap which is reinforced to resist cutting is held in position with a lock 1. The locking of the strap will obstruct entry into luggage when luggage locks are opened. Locks can be of the combination type that allows the owner to set the opening combination, this enables the owner to use several flight security straps that all open on the same number. <IMAGE>

Description

FLIGHT LUGGAGE SECURITY STRAP This invention relates to security for luggage and suitcases.
Straps around suitcases fastened with buckles are well known they help to take the strain of locks and give strength to the sides of suitcases, but give little added security to the suitcases or luggage.
According to the present invention there is a strap or set of straps around the length and height of the luggage held securely on with a lock, (see fig. 1, 2 and 3), to prevent the luggage being opened after the luggage locks have been opened, thus preventing the removal of valuables or the addition of unwanted items by unauthorized persons, without obvious damage to the strap or luggage. The strap will be of materials that will allow the application of advertisements, mottos, logos, symbols, pictures or artwork.
The lock will have removable keys or a preselecting combination that allows several flight luggage security straps to be opened by the same number.

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIM
    A flight luggage security strap comprises a reinforced strap that is put around the top sides and bottom and is optional around the length, of a piece of luggage that is held together with a lock. The lock will have removable keys or a combination type release. The combination lock should be of the type that allows the owner to preselect the opening numbers to allow several flight luggage security straps to be set to the same number.
    The strap will be reinforced to resist easy cutting with knives or shears. The strap will be made of materials that will allow the printing or application of advertisements, logos, symbols, mottos, pictures or artwork or woven to produce the same effect.
    The adjustments to the length can be set with friction resistant materials like velcro or stud type fastenings, zips or metal grips that can be locked into set position.
