Description
SKIN EXCISER The present invention relates to a skin exciser for medical
application which has a holder provided with a blade tube.
A skin exciser Is used for cutting off the skin, fat thereunder, or the like. However, it wholly depends on a rough estimate by the eye of a user how deep a blade tube has got In or under the skin. As a result, the blade tube sometimes goes in or under the skin more than is necessary.
Accordingly, It is a primary objective of the present invention to provide a skin exciser which enables a user to see in the use how deep a blade tube has got in or under the skin, thereby to prevent te bldde tube from going In or under the skin more than is necessary.
To achieve the foregoing and other objects and in accordance with the purpose of the present invention, a novel skin exciser Is disclosed in which a blade tube Is provided on a holder and has an edge formed at the tip thereof. At least one mark is provided on the outer i peripheral surface of the blade tube so as to be spaced a prescribed distance from the edge.
t The f eatures of the present invention that are believed to be novel are set forth with particularity in the appended claims. The invention, together with further objects and advantages thereof, may best be understood by reference to the following description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings in which:

FIGURE 8 is a partial plan view of the exciser shown In Figure 7.
FIGURE 9 is a partial plan view of the exciser shown in Figure 7 with the adapter removed therefrom.
FIGURE 10 Is a perspective view showing the fifth embodiment of a blade tube of a skin exciser.
FIGURE 11 is a perspective view showing the sixth embodiment of a blade tube of a skin exciser.
FIGURE 12 is a cross sectional view showing the blade tube of Figure 11 mounted to a holder.
FIGURE 13 is a perspective view showing the seventh embodiment of a blade tube of a skin exciser.
FIGURE 14 is a cross sectional view showing the blade tube of Figure 13 fitted to a holder.
A first embodiment of the Invention is shown in Figures 1 and 2.
A holder 1 is made of a plastic bar and has a fitting hole 2 formed at the tip thereof. A metal blade tube 3 is pressed Into and fixed to the fitting hole 2. The blade tube 3 has an edge 3a shaped entirely around the end perimeter thereof.
The end surface of the holder 1 defines a stopper surface la which Is stepped to the blade tube 3. The stopper surface la is parallel to the edge 3a. When the blade tube 3 is got into or under the skin, the stopper surface la touches the surface of the skin and the insertion of the tube 3 Is stopped. The blade tube 3 has a portion protruded from the fitting hole 2 and a outer peripheral surface. Three circular marks 4a, 4b and 4c are cut on the outer peripheral surface of this protruded portion at equal intervals. The marks 4a-4c are parallel to the edge 3a, respectively. Distances la, lb and lc are defined respectively between the marks 4a-4c and edge 3a. Each distance la, lb, lc Is different from a distance L between the stopper surface la and edge 3a or the 1 i 1 1 t protruded length of the blade tube 3.
In case of use of the skin exciser as mentioned above, a user grips the holder 1 and makes the edge 3a contact with the skin. Then, the user rotates the edge 3a while getting it into or under the skin, thereby to remove the skin or fat thereunder.
In this case, the user can know via the marks 4a4c of the blade tube 3 how deep the blade tube 3 goes in or under the skin. Therefor, It is prevented that the blade tube 2 penetrates In or under the skin more than he or she needs.
In case the blade tube 3 is entered by the protruded length L, the stopper la prevents it from getting under the skin more than the length L.
The number of the marks may be one or two, or not less than four.
Figures 3-9 show the second to fourth embodiments. An explanation thereof will be made only in respect of different parts from the first embodiment.
A skin exciser of the second embodiment has an adapter 5 detachably fitted to the outer perimeter of the blade tube 3. Accordingly, the marks 4a-4c of the first embodiment are omitted. The adapter 5 Is arranged so as not to Inadvertently come out of the blade tube 3 through the friction between the adapter 5 and blade tube 3. One end surface of the adapter 5 defines a stopper surface 5a -6 which is stepped to the blade tube 3 when mounted thereon. When the adapter 5 has been attached to the blade tube 3, the protruded length of the blade tube 3 comes to the length which is shorter by a width B of the adapter 5 than a distance R between the stopper surface la of the holder 1 and edge 3a. Namely, it corresponds to a length r between the stopper surface 5a of the adapter 5 and edge 3a. Several kinds of adapter 5 are prepared that have different widths B. in the use of the skin exciser of the second embodiment, it is considered first how long the blade tube 3 must be in order to cut of f the skin or fat thereunder. When removing the skin alone, an adapter 5 with a larger width B should be selected among several kinds of adapters 5. When execising the fat under the skin, one with a smaller width B should be used. Then, as shown In Figure 4, the adapter 5 is f Itted over the blade tube 3 to get the adapter 5 In contact with the stopper surface la of the holder 1. Thus, a protruded length r f the b'lade tube 3 is rendered to a minimum length that removing the skin or the fat thereunder. If the blade tube 3 required for cutting off is needed for the length of the f at under the skin Is equal to the distance R between the stopper surface la. of the holder 1 and edge 3a, the blade tube 3 is used by itself without any adapter 5 attached.
As described above, an appropriate adapter 5 is 1 1 1 i chosen to be f itted so that the protruded length r of the blade tube 3 be adjustable. This structure enables the user to know how deep the blade tube 3 gets in under the skin. Moreover, it prevents the blade tube 3 from penetrating under the skin more than is necessary.
A skin exciser of the third embodiment is a modification of the second embodiment. As shown in Figures 5 and 6, a holder 1 has a pair of f ixing recesses 6 formed at its tip portion. An engaging recess 7 is formed at the bottom of each fixing recess 6. A pair of fixing protrusions 8 project out of one end surface of an adapter 5 and are able to fit In the f ixing recess 6. A engaging protrusion 9 Is formed on each fixing protrusion so as to be engageable In the engaging recess 7.
In the use of the skin exciser of the third embodiment, It Is considered first how long the blade tube 3 must be in order to cut off the skin or fat thereunder. Then, an adapter 5 with an adaquate width B Is fitted over the outer perimeter of the blade tube 3. At the same time, the fixing protrusion 8 of the adapter 5 is secured into the fixing recess 6 of the holder 1, while the engaging protrusion 9 of the fixing protrusion 8 engaged Into the engaging recess 7 of the fixing recess 6.
is The skin exciser of the third embodiment makes adjustable the protruded length r by which the blade tube 3 projects from the tip of the adapter 5, as in the second embodiment. Specially, an unintentional rotation of the adapter 5 to the holder 1 is prevented through the f it of the f ixing recess 6 of the holder 1 and f ixing protrusion 8 of the adapter 5 and through the engagement of the engaging recess 7 of the f ixing recess 6 and the engaging protrusion 9 of the fixing protrusion 8.
The fourth embodiment is a modification of the second embodiment. As shown in Figures 7-9, a holder 1 is shaped integrally with an adapter 5. That is, a clearance 10 is provided between the adapter 5 and holder 1. The holder 1 has a pair of recesses 11 at Its tip portion. The adapter 5 has a pair of protrusions 12 formed at its end portion and extending into the recesses 11. The adapter 5 connects with the holder portion 13 which Is one end portion In the use of the skin embodiment, it is considered first 3 must be In order to cut of f the 1 only at a connecting of.the protrusion 12.
exciser of the fourth how long the blade tube skin or fat thereunder. Where a required length of.the blade tube 3 il longer than the protruded length r by which the blade tube 3 projects out of the tip of the adapter 5, the connecting portion 13 Is -broken between the adapter 5 and holder 1 so that the adapter 5 Is put off from the blade tube 3.
As decribed above, the skin exciser of the fourth embodiment Is capable of enlarging the protruded length r of the blade tube 3 via separation of the adapter 5 A 1 h -g- therefrom.
Figures 10-14 show the fifth to seventh embodiments each of which is a modification of the first embodiment. Skin excisers of these embodiments have improvements in a mounting structure of a blade tube 3 to a fitting hole 2 of a holder 1. Thus, the blade tube 3 is prevented from rotating unintentionally relative to the holder 1 in use.
As shown In Figure 10, the skin exciser of the fifth embodiment has knurls 14 formed entirely over the outer periphery of the base end portion of the blade tube 3.
Consequently, the blade tube 3 Is curbed from circumferentially rotating Inside the fitting hole 2 because of the knurl 14 as an antislip measure.
As shown in Figures 11 and 12, the skin exciser of the sixth embodiment has protrusion 15 formed at one side of the base end portion of the blade tube 3. The protrusion 15 Is engaged into a recess 16 arr.nged in the fitting hole 2 of the holder 1.
The blade tube 3 Is restrained from circumferential rotation Inside the fitting hole 2 through the engagement of the protrusion 15 into the recess 16.
As shown In Figures 13 and 14, the skin exciser of the seventh embodiment has a recess 17 curved at one side of the base end portion of the blade tube 3. The holder 1 has a protrusion 18 disposed inside the fitting hole 2 and engaged into the recess 17.
The blade tube 3 is prevented from circumferential rotation inside the fitting hole 2 through the engagement of the protrusion 18 into the recess 17.
