Description

4 1 1 COIN SELECTOR WITH BUILT-IN RETURN DEVICE OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The following utility model, as is expressed in the title of the present specification, consists of a selector with built-in return device, both elements forming a compact unit mainly used in automatic vending machines and slot machines.
The coin selector includes the return device made up of three containers for the location of the types of coins to be returned which mav be selected at will.
In this way, the selector itself controls the coins existing in each one of the returning containers, controlling at all times the number of coins of each type existing for a possible return.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
All automatic machines or apparatus existing on the market which operate by means of inserting coins have a selector of the coins inserted in order to distinauish them, and if they must also include a coin return device, both elements, selector and return device, are independent.
Hence, first the inserted coin in the event of being distinguished by the selector and being of the type to be returned it is led towards the corresponding coin return device, or towards the moneybox in the event that the coin return device is full.
For this purpose, the returning containers are made up of some cylindric tubes in which the coins are piled up, said cylindric tubes having some micro-contacts in the top and bottom parts so that the bottom microcontact advises that the number of coins existing is reduced and that it must be filled up and the top micro-contact advises that the container is full and the coins of this type must be directed towards the definitive moneybox.
on the other hand, in the specific case of those slot machines which operate with two types of coins (oreferabl--,- 25 and 10OPts), they have two different ducts for the insertion of the coins with which it is necessary that they be provided with their corresponding selectors and return devices in such a way that a complex distribution of all the ducts transoorting the coins is created in the direction towards the coin return devices as well as towards the moneybox.
is 2 S i DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The selector with a built-in return device which the invention presents ismade up first of all of the selector which accepts or rejects the inserted coins, at the same time that it controls at all moments the number of coins of each type or value located in the coin return devices.
The device is provided with several coin return devices (generally three) for the same or different type of coins, as required in each case. The number of coins existina in each one of the coin return devices, just as has been indicated, is controlled by the selector and it is not necessarv that said coin return devices include some control micro-contacts to indicate that the coin holder has a reduced number of coins, or else that it is full of coins and that they must be directed towards another coin return device of the same type of coins or to the moneybox, in the absence of the former.
The passage of the coin to the moneybox is sealed off by a strip solidly connected to the center of a bobbin so that upon not being activated it will be directed towards the coin return device and if it is activated it will pass to the moneybox.
Likewise, these coin return devices are sealed off by corresponding strips solidly connected to the center of the respective bobbins in such a way that the one which leaves free passage to the coin return device corresponding to the type or value of coin accepted will be activated.
The selector will control the type of coin accepted so that it be correctly directed towards the ideal coin t 1 is return device, at the same time that it will always control the number of coins that exist in each coin holder.
In order to complement the description that is going to be made hereinafter and for the purpose of aiding in a better undrestanding of its features the present specification is accompanied by a diagram in whose figures, the most significant details of the invention are represented in an illustrative and non-restrictive manner.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Figure l.- It shows a front raised view of the selector with the built-in return device forming a solid unit.
Figure 2.- It shows a cross-cut view of the selector with the built-in return device represented in the previous figure along the I-I transversal axis, in which the three coin return devices are observed, as well as the recovery duct of unaccepted coins and the duct which empties into the moneybox.
DESCRTPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT In view of the commented figures and in accordance with the numbering used we can observe how the selectcr with a built-in coin return 1 is made up of the selector 2 which accepts the coins inserted in the opening 4 of the same and the return device 3 provided with three coin return devices for the same or different type of coins.
The selector 2 will accept the correct coins controlling -the ones that exist of each value and directing them towards the coin return correcting to their value in the event that there is in and in the absence of a coin return for this type of coin they will be directed towards the moneybox.
Hence, if the coin return devices 8, 9 and 10 respectively are for three different types or values of coins, for example, 5, 25 and 100 Pt, the coins inserted in the selector 2 of these values and which are accepted will go to the corresponding coin return if it is not full. In the event that the coin return corresponding to an accepted coin is 1 1 is full, the coin will be led through the duct 6 towards the moneybox for which purpose the bobbin which activates the strip 5 which seals off the passage towards the moenybox will have been activated.
The coins that are rejected by the selector 2 pass through the duct 7 towards the coin recovery holder.
In this way in a small space there is a selector with the built-in coin return device which can return up to three different types of coins.
The containers or coin return devices 8,9 andlO are made up of some cylindric tubes which can be exchanged with each other. These coin return devices can contain coins of different values, or else coins of the same value, two or three of them in accordance with the user's needs.
The selector will control at all times the number of coins that there are in each one of the coin return devices 8, 9 and 10 without the need of having to incorporate micro-onctacts for the control of the coins that thev contain.

Claims (2)

1 CLAIMS l.- Coin selector with built-in return device which is useful in
automatic vending machines and in slot machines, essentially characterized because it comprises a coin selector 2 and coin return device 3 which form a solid unit, in such a way that a selector 2 itself controls and distributes each one of the coins according to its type or value, a return device 3 made up o some cylindric containers 8, 9 and 10 in which the coins of a specific type or value are accumulated and a moneybox to which the excess coins of the cylindric containers of the return device and the coins whose type or value does not coincide with the coins to be accumulated in said containers are directed.
