Abstract

This invention relates to a yoke in a cone speaker. A metallic outer frame 1 for the speaker is made by pressing being provided with an inwardly protruding edge 2 to function as a yoke for the magnet 5. <IMAGE>

Description

"A YOKE IN A CONE SPEAKER" This invention concerns a structure of a yoke in a cone speaker.
As shown in Figures 1, 2 and 3, a conventional cone speaker consists of a magnet 5, a yoke A and a middle magnetic pole 3, which are placed to make up an empty space for a magnetic field. Then a voice coil 4 is set in the space so as to give out voice axially radiated from a cone paper.
But in that structure the design of the yoke A makes the manufacturing process inconvenient and it can waste time and material as well, which naturally increases its cost.
In order to solve the problems in the art mentioned above, the present invention has been worked out to provide a yoke in a cone speaker which is formed by pressing a metallic outer frame to provide its central part with an inwardly protruding round edge, which can function as a yoke.
An embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figures 1, 2 and 3 are views of various structures of yokes in conventional cone speakers; Figure 4 is a schematic view of the cone speaker in accordance with the present invention; Figure 5 is a side cross-sectional view of the cone speaker in accordance with the present invention; Figure 6 is a side cross-sectional view of an example in accordance with the present invention.
Referring firstly to Figures 4 and 5, a metallic outer frame 1 is made by pressing, being provided with an inwardly protruding round edge 2. This inwardly protruding round edge 2 can have the same function as a conventional yoke.
Next, as shown in Figure 6, the metallic outer frame 1 is placed at the outside of a middle magnetic pole 3 and the empty space for a magnetic field surrounded by both the metallic outer frame 1 and the magnetic pole 3 can be kept at the most even state. Therefore, a voice coil 4 set in the space can generate comparatively harmonic frequency. In addition, a magnet 5 is inserted between the upper face of the frame 1 and the middle magnet pole 3.
In short, the structure of a yoke in a cone speaker in accordance with the present invention can simplify the manufacturing process of the whole cone speaker, so it can not only decrease the producing cost but obtain the most economical gain without losing the voice quality.
