Abstract

A telephone socket lock has a main body unit A, which is fixed to the face of the telephone socket, by means of screws through slots 1 located in the back face of the main body unit. Access of the jack-plug into the socket is through a cut out area 2 also in the rear face of the main body unit. The telephone lead/wire passes through a slot 3 in the lower face, and is secured by means of a faceplate B which has outer forward body section which fits into the main body unit. The faceplate is locked into position using a cam lock C, which is secured to the faceplate, whilst its cam slides into a slot in upper face of the main body unit. <IMAGE>

Description

TELEPHONE SOCKET LOCK.
This invention relates to a telephone socket lock.
The telephone socket lock, is a device which enables the subscriber to lock the telephone lead jackplug;either into;or out ofss the telephone socket.
For the purpose of both securing the handset equipment and preventing unauthorised use of the telephone line.
A description of the invention and its component parts now follows; by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which.

Claims (2)

CLAIMS.
1. A telephone socket lock,secures the telephone handset;by means of the telephone lead threaded into the slot in the lower face of the main body unit, prior to locking the faceplate into position by means of the cam action lock.
2. A telephone socket lock prevents unauthorised use of the telephone, by removal of the telephone lead jack-plug from the socket box prior to inserting and locking the faceplate to the main body.(the jack-plug lead, can either be removed entirely from the telephone socket lock; or alternatively left disconnected uithin the telephone socket lock.).
