Abstract

The metal plate has lugs on one side to engage beneath the rim of an aperture above a retracted motor vehicle mascot. A key-operated cam arm projects beneath the aperture rim from the opposite side of the plate to lock the plate over the aperture. <IMAGE>

Description

REMOVAPIE LOCKIMG PLATE This Invention relates to a removable locking plate.
This locking plate is intended for a specific purpose.
The purpose being to add security to a re-tractable mascot used on motor vehicles. The mascot when lowered beyond the top area of the radiator leaves exposed an open aperture.
The locking plate will fit this aperture.
A specific embodiment of the Invention will now be described with reference to the accompayning drawing.
The locking plate is made of solid base metal and is shaped to the angles of an aperture. Two retaining lugs are Incorporated on one edge of the plate. r cam lock (not shown) fits into a formed elongated hole to the opposite edge. This lock is key operated.
Referring to the drawing. Two lugs are incorporated on one size of the plste. hen fitted in position the to lugs fit under the surrounding metel of the aperture,the plate is then lowered into position acd thereby conceals the open aperture.
The key operated cam lock is then used to secure the locking plate on the opposite side of the lugs by means of the cam arm.
The locking plate is placed In position when the mascot is in a retracted position and therby alloys a certain degree of security.
The locking plate is removed when the mascot is in the raised position.

    A removable locking plate comprising a solid base metal body with lugs incorporated on one side and cam locking arm on opposite side
