221,797. Heil, H. A. Sept. 12, 1923, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Electrodes.-Lead or lead alloy grid plates for accumulators have vertical and horizontal bridging members 2, 3 in a frame 1, the bridging members having teeth or corrugations 4. The teeth on one face of a member are displaced with respect to those on the other face. Additional small crossed rods 5, 6 may be arranged as shown. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) the grid is preferably compressed under high pressure of the order of 1000 atmospheres after it has been made up, and before being filled with paste. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
