Abstract

A hinge for hinging a first member relative to a second member about a hinge axis (13) for example for hinging a lid (12) to a body (11) of a case such as a spectacle case (10), comprises a first hinge part (16) secured relative to the first member (12) against rotation about the hinge axis (13), and a second hinge part (20) about the hinge axis (13), the first and second hinge parts (16, 20) each having co-operating means (28, 32) which, when the second member (12) is pivoted to a set position, acts to provide resistance against movement of the second member (12) from the set position.
