Abstract
221,757. Taylor, A. W. April 24, 1924. Articles to be displayed, rotating and oscillating supports for.-In apparatus for displaying garments &c. of the type in which a rotatable pillar, mounted on a carriage adapted to be wheeled into and out of a show case, supports a rack or frame, the pillar being locked against rotation during its motion into and out of the case, and while in the case, and being free to turn only when withdrawn, the locking means comprises a slot o in the track member p in which slide four rollers k on a disc j fixed to the lower end of the pillar f. The rollers k are mounted on studs m arranged a short distance apart on lines parallel to the length of the frame n, i and a greater distance apart on lines at right angles thereto. A circular enlargement q near the outer end of the slot o permits the pillar f and frame n, i to turn when in the outer position, whereas engagement of the rollers k with the sides of the slot o prevents rotation of the frame in other positions. An audible clicking device for indicating when the frame is located in the correct position for return into the case consists of a spring-pressed ball which snaps into a recess in the pillar f.
