Abstract

The trolley is made from square section iron members and comprises two side frames interconnected by adjustable bars a. Two bearings d are welded to the top of the side frames to receive the engine. On each side of the trolley is a table/work top b made from wood or metal which can be folded away when not in use. The trolley may be dismantled when not in use. <IMAGE>

VERSATILE ENGINE STAND THE VERSATILE ENGINE STAND' PROVIDES THE MECHANIC WITH THE EASE AND ACCESS TO ALL PARTS OF THE ENGINE @HE@ IT IS MOUNTED. INSTEAD OF PLACING IMPORTANT PArTS SUCH AS VALVES, BOLTS, TRAPPETS ROCKERS ETC ON THE GROUND WHERE THEY CAN EASILY BECOME LOST OR BE INGRAINED WITH DIRT, THE 'VERSATILE ENGINE STAND' PROVIDES TWO FOLD AWAY WORK TOPS FOR PUTTING ENGINE PARTS AND TOOLS OR.
BECAUSE THE WHOLE ASSEMBLED FRAME IS COMPLETELY MOBILE O;E CAN CHOOSE TO SIT OR STAND ANYWHERE TO WORK ON THE ENGINE. STOWAGE IS ALSO SIMPLE BY REMOVING THE CENTRE NUT AND BOLTS FROM THE ADJUSTABLE BARS,; THE BAPS THEMSELVES CAN THEN BE FOLDED AWAY TO ALLOW THE FRAMES TO BE STOWED AS A MARRIED UNIT.

Claims (6)

- C L A I M S
1. THE 'VERSATILE ENGINE STAND' PROVIDES THE MECHANIC WITH THE EASE AND ACCESS TO PARTS OF AN ENGINE WHEN IT IS MOUNTED.
2. WITH THE AID OF TWO ROLLER AXELS, THE ENGINE CAN BE TURNED BETWEEN THE FRAMES GIVING ACCESS TO THE SUMP AND THE CRANKSHAFT.
3. AN ADJUSTABLE TRAY PROVIDES A REST FOR THE ENGINE FROM EITHER END OF THE FRAMES.
INSTEAD OF PLACING IMPORTANT PARTS SUCH AS, VALVES BOLTS, TAPPETS AND ROCKERS etc. ON THE GROUND WHERE THEY COULD EASILY BECOME INGRAINED WITH DIRT OR BECOME LOST THERE ARE TWO FOLD AWAY TOPS FOR PUTTING SUCH ITENS ON INCLUDING TOOLS.
4. BECAUSE THE WHOLE ASSEMBLED FRAME IS COMPLETELY MOBILE ONE CAN CHOOSE TO SIT OR STAND ANYWHERE TO WORK OR THE ENGINE.
5. STOWAGE IS ALSO SIMPLE, BY REMOVING THE CENTRE NUTS AND BOLTS FROM THE ADJUSTABLE BARS.
6. THE BARS THEMSELVES CAN THEN BE FOLD AWAY TO ALLOW THE FRAMES TO BE STOWED AS A MARRIED UNIT.
