Abstract
The device for securing facade elements consists of an anchor 10 formed with slots 28, 30 and adapted to be secured by means of bolts 36 to a building. Between the anchor 10 and the nuts 44, washers 38 are arranged. The longitudinal edges of the slots (28, 30) are formed with teeth (32, 34) into which engage, in form-locking manner, identically formed teeth (42) which are arranged at the peripheral edges of the washers. Each washer 38 preferably comprises an integral plate (40 Fig 5) which is disposed at the lower side of the washer and on which the teeth (42 Fig 5) are provided. <IMAGE>
Description
"DEVICE FOR SECURING FACADE ELEMENTS"
The invention relates to a device for securing facade elements comprising an anchor securable via bolts or the like to the building and formed with slots, washers formed with a through-bore being disposed between the anchor and the nuts.
It is known to secure anchors for mounting facade elements such as panels or the like to bolts which for this purpose are mounted on rails or let into concrete. The forces occurring on such an anchor, which is usually U-shaped, cannot be transmitted via friction by tensioning of the securing bolts.
Thus, after aligning the anchors and tightening the nuts of the bolts either the washers or shims must be welded to the anchor or a hole drilled through the washers into the anchor and a locating pin inserted in said hole so that the washer is fixedly connected to the anchor. These methods are very complicated and work-intensive and this manifests itself in the assembly costs. Furthermore, subsequent adjustment of the anchors is not possible because for this purpose the washer would have to be released from the anchor.
The invention is based on the problem of providing a device for securing facade elements which permits a fast simple finely adjustable and exact arrangement of the facade elements.
This problem is solved according to the invention in that the washers adjustable with respect to the anchor are adapted to be connected in form-locking manner to the anchor and that the longitudinal edges of the slots and the peripheral faces of the washers are formed with substantially identical teeth.
After placing the anchors over the bolts the washers or sh,ims are placed over the bolts. These washers engage with the teeth disposed at their peripheral edges into the teeth in the elongated holes or slots so that a form-locking force transmission between the anchor and the washer is provided.
It is not necessary to weld the washers to the anchor or to connect the washer via locating pins to the anchor. After screwing on the nut a firm hold is ensured between the washer and anchor and thus a correctly positioned securing of the anchor.
According to a preferred embodiment on the lower side of the washer a plate having a through-bore is arranged and is provided with teeth. The washer then bears on the upper side of the anchor adjacent the slot and only the plate with the teeth engages into the slot or elongated hole. The washer or shim is preferably made integrally with the plate formed with the teeth.
In a further development of the invention the through-bore of the plate provided with the teeth is arranged eccentrically, the centrepoint of the through-bore being offset on a diagonal towards a corner of the plate or on a centre axis towards a side edge, preferably by half a tooth width.
By turning the washer with tooth plate through 900 in each case a fine adjustment of the anchor is possible. The anchor can be loosened at any time and readjusted and secured.
An example of embodiment of the invention will be explained in detail hereinafter with the aid of the drawings, wherein:
Fig. 1 shows a partially broken away device for securing
the facade elements in perspective view,
Fig. 2 is a plan view of an anchor,
Fig. 3 is a section along the line III-III of Fig. 2,
Fig. 4 is a plan view of the lower side of a washer,
Fig. 5 is a section along the line V-V of Fig. 4 and
Fig. 6 is a plan view of the lower side of a modified
embodiment of a washer or shim.
Fig. 1 shows a U-shaped anchor 10 to the front end side of which a prism 12 of trapezoidal cross-section is arranged for pushing on a block 14. The block 14 can be secured via screws 16 to the prism 12. The block 14 comprises at its front side a dovetail groove 18 in which a dovetail prism 20 is inserted which can be secured via screws 22. At the lower end face of the prism 20 a crosspiece 24 is disposed to which a facade element, for example a panel or slab can be secured.
In the base 26 of the U-shaped anchor 10 elongated holes or slots 28, 30 are formed. Said slots 28 and 30 have the shape of elongated rectangles which at their longitudinal sides are formed with teeth 32 asnd 34 respectively. When an anchor 10 is disposed at the outer wall of a building bolts 36 are directed through the slots 28 and 30. Washers 38 are placed over the bolts 36. The washers 38 bear with their edges adjacent the slots 28. At the lower side of the washer 38 a plate 40 is integrally disposed and is formed at its peripheral edges with teeth 42. The washer 38 is secured via a nut 44 oq the bolt 36. In the slot 30 it can be seen how a plate 40 is arranged which is formed with teeth at the peripheral edges, the teeth of the plate 40 meshing with the teeth of the slot 30. The washers 38 are provided with a through-bore 46 for the passage of the bolt 36.
Preferably, the plate is made integrally with the washer 38.
It is apparent from Figs. 4 and 5 that the bore 46 through the washer 38 and the plate 40 provided at the outer side with the teeth is displaced on a longitudinal centre axis 50 towards one side edge 52 by half a tooth width a. This makes it possible by turning the washer 38 together with the plate 40 to shift the bore 46 in a slot 28 or 30 of the anchor 10 in the longitudinal direction by half a tooth width so that a fine adjustment can be made.
Fig. 6 shows a plan view of the lower side of a modified embodiment of a washer 54 having formed thereon a plate 56 which is provided at the peripheral faces with teeth 58. A bore 60 through the plate 56 and the washer 54 is displaced along a diagonal 62 in the direction of a corner 64 so that the centrepoint 66 of the bore 60 does not coincide with the centrepoint 68 of the plate or washer. This gives an offsetting by half a tooth width a with respect to two side edges of the washer 54 and plate 56. In this manner by turning the washer through 900 or 1800 a further fine adjustment can be made so that the anchor 10 can be exactly aligned on the mounting bolts.
