Abstract

A ladder rest is vertically adjustable along a post having a square base welded thereto. The use of four ladder rests, one at each corner, enables a ladder to be placed across the earth, without touching it. A panel of wood is placed across the length of the ladder to make a solid walkway. The gardener can do all the required digging or planting, without spoiling the structure of the soil, which could normally happen once the soil is trodden on. When digging or planting has finished, the ladder is hung back on the wall, and the four ladder rests put in the shed. <IMAGE>

Description

LADDER REST T H E D E S C R I P T I O N.
THIS REST IS USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH AN ALUMINIUM LADDER.
THE PRINCIPLE USE CF AN ALUMINIUM LADDER IS TO GAIN ACCESS TC AREAS OUT CF BEACH OF THE AVERAGE INDIVIDUAL. THE CONSTRUCTION IS USUALLY IN TWO PARTS.
BY USING FOUR LADDER RESTS AND A PANEL OF WOOD ALONG THE LENGTH OF THE LADDER, IT BECOMES A WALKWAY WHICH IS INVALUABLE TO GARDENERS AND ENABLES THEM TO DO ALL THEIR WORK WITHOUT TREADING ON THE EARTH.
THE STAND IS ADJUSTABLE BY MEANS OF A BOLT WITH A SCREW THREAD SO THAT WIDEN IT IS ADJUSTED TO THE HEIGHT REQUIRED, THE BOLT WILL NOT DROP CUT.

Claims (1)

  1. C L A I M S.
    (1) THE LADDER REST IS ADJUSTABLE.
    (2) TIE ADJUSTABLE BOLT HAS A SCREW THREAD.
    (3) TIE THREAD IS FLUSH WITH ADJUSTABLE SECTION SO AS NOT TO DAMAGE HOLLOW LADDERS.
    (4) THE REST WILL ACCOMMODATE ALL SIZES OF LADDERS.
    Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows CLAIMS.
    (1) The 'Ladder Rest' has a square base onto which an upright post is welded.
    (2) The 'Post' has holes at two inch intervals along its length to accommodate a winged screw bolt.
    The The 'Rest' incorporates a 'U' Shaped Rest to hold the ladder horizontal and is vertically adjustable.
    (4) The 'U' Shaped Rest has a hole through its side which is threaded on one side to accommodate a winged screwed bolt.
    (5) On reaching the desired height for working, a winged threaded bolt enters the 'U' Shaped Rest, through the upright post and into the threaded part of the 'Rest.' (6) liven the winged threaded bolt is screwed into the 'U' Shaped Rest, it is flush.
