Abstract

An adjustable bath/shower seat has seating arms 4 that seat on to the bath and are adjustable to fit any bath. The seat is non slip and has receiving tubes 6 underneath to allow the seating arms to adjust. The adjustable bath/shower seat is designed so that the user can shower without any danger of slipping. <IMAGE>

Description

ADJUSTAS BATH/SHOWER SEAT This invention relates to an adjustable bath/shower seat.
When people have a shower tney stand up in the bath and shower themselves. When they want to wash their legs and feet they have to stand on one leg and are in danger of slipping.
According to the present invention there is provided an adjustable seat that will fit any bath. The person taking the shower -aan sit in confort and wash ais or her lower parts and feet without any danger of slipping.
A s?eci-ic embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Fi,-ure 1 Shows the adjustable bath/shower seat assembled ready to place on the bath.
Figure 2 illustrates the under side of the seat and shows the two tubes with wing bolts that allow the seating arms to adjust.
Figure 3 shows how the bath/shower seat fits onto the bath.
Refering to the drawing the adjustable bath/shower seet comprises two seating arms 4 made fro strong crone plated tubing shaped at the ends to fit the lip of the bath and the ends 8 covered in rubber or polythene to prevent scratching the bath. The actual seat 5 is made from woodor other suitable material and finished with cork or any other com- fortable nonslip material.
In order to adjust the seat to fit any bath see Fig 2 there are two larger diarniter tubes fitted under the seat 6 drilled and taped also four winged bolts 7 to hold the seating arms 4 secure when they are fitted into the tubes 6.
Figure 3 shovs how the adjustable bath/shower seat would fit onto any bath.

Claims (5)

1 An adjustable bath/shower seat comprises a seat made from suitable natierial. Two seating arms s shaped to fit the lip of any bath and the ends coated to make them scratch proof.
2 An adjustable bath/shower seat as in claim 1 wherein the seating arns fit into two tubes fitted under te seat so that it can adjust to fit any bath. The seating arms are then secured b fou wing bolts screwed into taped holes in the two tubes. This gives a telescopic action.
3 An adjustable bath/shower seat as claimed in claim 1 and in claim 2 will fit onto any bath and allow the user to shower in comfort.
4 An adjustable bath/shower seat as described herein with reference to Figures 1 - 3 of the accompanying drawing.
Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows 1 An adjustable bath/shower seat comprises a seat made from suitable matierial. Two seating a=ns shaped to fit the lip of the(or any) bath and the ends coated to make them scratch proof.
2 An adjustable bath/shower seat as in claim 1 wherein the seating arms fit into two tubes fitted under the seat so that it can adjust to fit any bath. The seating arms aee then secured by four wing bolts screwed into taped holes in the two tubes. This gives a telescopic action.
3 An adjustable bath/shower seat as claimed in claim 1 and in claim 2 will fit onto any bath and allow the user to shower 1n comfort while seated on the Bath/Shower seat.
4 An adjustable bath/shower seat as in claims 1 and claim 2 and in clim 3 is the embodiment of the idea of people taking 2 shower while seated. They will be seated high on the bath/shower seat and elevated nearer to the shower.
5 An adjustable bath/shower seat as described herein with reference to Figitres 1 - 3 of the accompanying drawing.
