Type-printing telegraphs; curbing at transmitter.-In an automatic transmitter for a synchronous type-printing system, of the kind in which reciprocable pins, co-operate with transverse rows of tape perforations, each row representing code character, to actuate a pole-changer connected to the line, the pins and the perforations are relatively staggered, and the pins are reciprocated at uniform speed in unbroken succession. The pins 14 are attached to levers 16 held up by springs 18 against levers 20 which are operated successively against the returning action of springs 23 by cams 25 equally spaced an a shaft 10 driven by a phonic wheel PW. A pivoted table 32, held against the upper surfaces of the levers 16 by a spring 34, carries the polechanger PC movable between contacts 30, 31 to transmit marking and spacing impulses to the line relays through contacts 38, 39. These impulses are curbed by cams on the periphery of a disc 47 on the shaft 10, the spaces between the cams allowing the contacts 38, 39 to separate. The subject-matter of the Specification as open to inspection under Sect 91 (3) (a) is identical with that of Specification 205,783, similarly open to inspection.
