2. An electric breaker according to claim 1, characterized in that the annular arc electrode (5) comprises a commutation block (8) which projects outwardly from the end plane of the ring and with which the tip (4c) of the knife contact makes contact.

An electric circuit-breaker according to Claim 2, wherein the knife contact (4) is formed by two parallel knives (4a, 4b) pro vided with springs, characterised in that the width of the commutation block (8) is smaller than the interspace between the knives (4a, 4b) in the ON position of the circuitbreaker, whereby the knife contact does not make contact with the commutation block (8) until it is completely disengaged from the fixed con tact (2).
