Abstract

219,542. O'Callaghan, J. Oct. 16, 1923. Reaping and mowing machines. - To prevent clogging of the cutting-mechanism the usual V- shape knife blades 1 are provided with inner V- shape opposed cutting edges 2 which extend from the base 3 of the blades to about one-third the depth of the cutters. The knife-bar is held in position by guides 6 which have lateral projections 7 adapted to fit between and abut against the sides 8 of the fingers 9, each guide being secured by one bolt 10.
