Abstract

219,484. Ellingham, E. H. July 20, 1923. Cylinders, rotating.-In an advertising device comprising a casing 1, a screen E, and a lamp A enclosed in a translucent rotating cylinder, reflectors C' are arranged so that each throws a beam of the same length on the screen, each part of which receives light from one only of the reflectors. Overlapping of the beams is prevented by partitions D dividing the screen into sections. The interior of the casing is covered with lightabsorbing paint, and each reflector may have non- effective portions K, Fig. 6, so that the reflected light strikes only the part of the screen to be illuminated. A screen B prevents direct light from reaching the screen, and additional screens G, H, Fig. 3, may be provided around the lamp.
