Abstract

A children's decorated food container comprising a main body, which is bottomless, a decorated disc inserted inside the main body and a base. All 3 parts snap fit together in a leak-proof manner by means of corresponding grooves and rims. The 3- piece food containers provide interchangeable decorated discs which can be illuminated from the base by means of a bulb and a battery housed therein. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Children's Decorated Food Containers Up to now, children's food containers consisted of just one main body. According to the present invention, children's plates, bowls and cups consist of 3 parts: 1) The main body, which is bottomless, 2) the disc, and 3) the base. All 3 parts are made of plastic and safely clench together in a leak-proof manner.
Each container is accompanied by a number of discs: if the containers are meant for babies, their discs are decorated with simple designs. If the containers, on the other hand, are meant for toddlers, then their discs are decorated in such a way that they form a short story.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows the main body from different perspectives.
Figure 2 shows the disc from different perspectives.
Figure 3 shows the base from different perspectives.
Figure 4 illustrates how all 3 pieces clench together.
Figure 5 shows how the food container appears when all 3 pieces are actually assembled together.
Referring to Figure 1 the main body has a groove (a) along its bottom part to allow the disc to be attached to it securely. The disc itself, Figure 2, has a corresponding rim (b) which fits into the groove (a) of the main body (Figure 1).
The base (Figure 3) has a groove (b) along its top part which clenches with rim (a) of Figure 1 of the main body.
In the base, there are a battery, a bulb and a switch. The content of the base is "sealed" with a transparent top which allows the decorated disc (Figure 2) to be illuminated by the bulb.
The decorated discs (Figure 2) can be substituted by biank, which can be designed or painted by the child itself on the back, or by mirrored discs which will reflect the child's face once the container is empty.
The main body (Figure 1) when clenched together with the disc (Figure 2) can safely balance on a flat surface with or without the base.
1. Children's food containers consisting of 3 separate parts: The main body, the disc, and the base.
2. Children's food containers as claimed in Claim 1, where the main body has a groove and a rim at its bottom part.
3. Children's food containers as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2, wherein a disc is attached to the main body.
4. The disc, as claimed in Claim 3, may be decorated, blank, or mirrored.
5. Children's food containers, as claimed in the preceeding claims, wherein the base is clenched by means of a rim on the main body.
6. A base, as claimed above, which provides illumination by means of a bulb connected to a battery.
7. Children's food containers, as claimed in all 6 preceeding claims, of various shapes, i.e. square, triangular, or circular as shown in the drawings.
8. Children's decorated food containers as described herein with reference to Figure 1-5 of the accompanying drawings.
