Abstract
A soil scarifier or rake attachment for fitting to an excavator as a replacement for a bucket consists of a series of tines A having teeth B and connected by plates, F, G. Bars D provide supports for the tines and there are connections E by which the attachment is fixed to the excavator. <IMAGE>
Description
SPECIFICATION
Rock and brick extracter
The invention relates to a rock or brick extracter to fit on the back hoe or backacter of an
Excavator To act as a rake, soil leveler, rubble loader, rubble remover, remover of soil from rubble.
This application describes improvements or modification in the invention described in my application No 8514124 dated 5th June 1985 and No. 8518765 dated 24 July 1985.
The extracter can be made in various size,s to fit small or large machines
One embodiment of the invention is shown in the attached drawings
Figure 1 Shows a rear elevation of the extractor resting on base
Figure 2 Shows the extracter tipped into a rakeing position
Figure 3 Shows the extracter tipped into the loading position
Figure 4 Shows one of the tines which together form the extracter
Figure 5 Shows a front perspective view of the extracter
Figure 6 Shows one of the teeth used to tip the tines
Reference A Shows the tines
Reference B Shows the teeth for the tines
Reference C Shows bars fitted between the tines
Reference D Shows support bars for the tines
Reference E Shows connecting points to Excavator
Reference F Shows the base of tool
Reference G Shows plates fixed to extracter
Reference H Shows where teeth are fixed to the tines
The gap left between the tines is for the dirt to filter though
The Rock and Brick extracter is a tool made of plate steel which contains a number of similar Tines set just far enough apart to remove brick rubble or any other junk and to leave the site and soil clean
The number of Tines depends on the size required if a Tine is thick as for a large excavator, the center of the Tines are further apart
If a Tine is thin as for a small excavator then the Tine centers are nearer
Between the Tines at the rear, rods will be fixed to stop too much rubble falling though when loading (As to Ref, C in drawings)
Plates are fitted to the base of the tool and the rear to give strength where required
All, so the plate at the rear can be used as a leveling blade (As to Ref, G in drawings)
When the tool is set on its teeth it acts as a rake to pull forward, to lift, to reach back, and pull forward, to clean and level. (As in
Fig. 2 in drawings)
On the end of each Tine, teeth are fitted, to be replaced when required.
These,s can be made to shapes required
The Tines are then fixed to a top plate on the top plate will be fixed the type of top required to fit any make of excavator (Ref, E in drawings)
CLAIMS
1. A Rock and Brick Extracter comprising of a number of tines in the form of a rake to fit any Excavator like any other attachment, to act as a tool and to be removed when not required. To be used as a rake and loading fork.
2. A Rock and Brick Extracter as stated in
Claim 1 can be moved back and forward like a rake and load like a bucket.
3. A Rock and Brick Extracter has teeth which can be removed by bolts and is fixed to an Excavator by pins held in by clips.
4. A Rock and Brick Extracter as in Claim 1, is to fit like a tool as in Claim 2. To work and move like a Rake and load like a bucket, removable parts as stated in Claim 3.
