Abstract

217,741. Allott, F. W. J., and Allott, Jones, & Co., Ltd. May 26, 1923. Paper for printing positives direct from an original such as a tracing is sensitized by an iron sensitizing composition containing a colloid, such as gum or gelatine, a dye or pigment, ferric chloride, and an organic acid such as tartaric or citric acid. The paper is dried after coating and the printed image is developed with wa.ter. Instead of a single sensitizing solution the paper may first be treated with the. colloid and colouring matter and afterwards sensitized with the ferric chloride and organic acid.
