Axle-trucks and bogies; springs, arrangement of, and mounting bodies on. - The arrangement described in the parent Specification is modified in that each hanger or the like for the suspension of the body-supporting spring member comprises a singlemember pivoted at each end in such a manner as to allow the spring member to swing freely only in a lateral or transverse direction horizontally without subjecting the connected parts to any twisting strain. The hangers 11, Fig. 1, which carry the ends of the bolster-supporting leaf spring 6 are each pivoted at their upper end to the side frame member 1 and at their lower end to a stirrup 7 which houses one end of the leaf spring 6. The hangers 11 may be of nor U-shape as shown in Figs. 3 and 6, respectively, or bent to the shape shown in Fig. 5. The bolster 3, Fig. 7, is supported by the leaf spring 6 through a helical spring 4 seated at its upper end in a recess in the bolster, the lower end of the spring being housed in a bracket 5 attached to the leaf spring 6, the bracket 5 being connected by a rigid link 34 pivoted at its end at 38 to a lug 37 on the bolster 3.
