Abstract

A soap holder 1 has hooked hangers 2 which fit on to a bath gripping rail 3 with its lower part resting against the side of the bath 4. The soap tray may be perforated or unperforated, and may be so shaped as to hold soap containers such as bottles in addition to bars of soap. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Bath Soap Holder This invention relates to a bath soap holder.
Bath soap holders in general use may take the form of a tiled recess in the wall adjacent to a bath, necessitating structural alterations, a soap tray which is placed on the rim of a bath, and is easily dislodged, or a device whizz l straddles a bath by resting on opposite rims, and restricts movement of the person or persons using the bath.
According to the present invention the soap holder, which may be perforated or unperforated, and may be shaped to hold soap containers as well as bars of soap, is provided with hangers which are shaped as as to hook or clip over the gripping rails which are fitted to many baths. The lower part of the soap holder rests against the side of the bath beneath the gripping rail, and by these means the soap holder is located securely. The soap holder can be easily fitted and removed, does not seriously interfere with the intended use of the gripping rail, and does not hinder the bather to any marked extent.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows, in perspective, the soap holder capable of holding bars of soap.
Figure 2 illustrates the manner in which the soap holder hooks on to the gripping rail and rests on the side of the bath.

Bath soap holders in general use may take the form of a tiled recess in the wall adjacent to a bath, necessitating structural alterations, a soap tray which is placed on the rim of a bath, and is easily dislodged, or a device whizz l straddles a bath by resting on opposite rims, and restricts movement of the person or persons using the bath. According to the present invention the soap holder, which may be perforated or unperforated, and may be shaped to hold soap containers as well as bars of soap, is provided with hangers which are shaped as as to hook or clip over the gripping rails which are fitted to many baths. The lower part of the soap holder rests against the side of the bath beneath the gripping rail, and by these means the soap holder is located securely. The soap holder can be easily fitted and removed, does not seriously interfere with the intended use of the gripping rail, and does not hinder the bather to any marked extent.
