Saddles. - Saddles or seats for cycles, motor tractors, &c. have a sponge rubber core B vulcanized or cemented upon a sheet - metal foundation A and covered with sheet rubber D vulcanized to the core. The sponge rubber passes through circular, triangular, or other perforations in the foundation A, as shown at C, so as to be keyed thereto. The core may be vulvanized simultaneously with its attachment to the foundation and cover. The foundation and cover may have rolled-under edges to facilitate attachment to the core.
