Description

SPECIFICATION Secure-a-tray Improvements in relation to security Almost every 'Grab' from inside a jewellers is executed when staff are showing a display tray from a window or showcase and the 'customer' finds it very easy to snatch and run.
This invention which would be fixed on the working side of the counter is designed to secure the display tray by means of an inertia reel of adequate strength to prevent most thieves. However in the event of failure of either the cord or its anchor an alarm will be activated by a breakwire trigger system which can either be located within the unit or wired into the existing main alarm system.

1. A Securatray device will anchor a display of jewellery to an alarm allowing the stock to be shown without the risk of the complete display being snatched.
2. A Securatray device as claimed in Claim 1, wherein means are provided to allow the device to be used with an existing alarm system.
3. A Securatray device as claimed in Claim 1, Claim 2, wherein means are provided to allow the device to be used with an independant alarm box.
4. A Securatray device as claimed in Claim 2, which can be used in multiples to secure a window display and lessen the risk of smash and grab.
