Abstract

A picture projecting apparatus (1) in which a picture projecting section (2) which projects the image light from a single picture tube (11) through a lens system, and a cassette VTR section (3) are integral constructed. A handle (6A) is provided on the upper surface of the integral constructed apparatus. On the front side of the handle (6A), the lens system (21) is disposed; on the rear side, the cassette VTR section (3) is disposed. A control section (4) for controlling the picture projecting section (2) and the cassette VTR section (3) is provided on the upper surface of the rear part of the apparatus. A cassette insertion portion of the cassette VTR section (3) is provided on the rear side of the apparatus. Thus, it is possible to greatly reduce the weight and size of the apparatus as a whole. The apparatus has excellent portability, and the operability thereof is greatly improved.
