Potato diggers; crops, root, digging.-The tines of a potato digger or root-crop harvester are provided with a covering of yielding character to prevent damage to the crop. Each tine A is formed at its lower end with a conical shoulder a short distance from the extreme point A<2>. A sleeve of rubber or similar material B surrounds the major portion of the tine and at its lower end abuts against the shoulder A<1>.
