Abstract
The device comprises a length of slotted tubing formed of straight or bend sections. Retained within the tubing and slidable therealong is a ball-like portion (3) of a two-part coupling device (3, 4). When the coupling parts are separated, the part (4) remains connected to a safety line (5). <IMAGE>
Description
SPECIFICATION
Doglead
Doglide is a short special doglead with a ball sliding inside a slotted tube, inside the tube through the ball is a safety line, which is in force only in an emergency. The tubes are made of plasitc or non ferrous metals.
The tubes are made in section of straights and bends with hair fibre overthe slot.
The tubes are fixed on walls, fences and in the ground.
The idea of Doglide is so a dog or other pets can walk miles on a short lead with freeing power onto a safety line. The safety line is of owners choice of length, the line remains inside the tube so the dog can never escape indefinite.
1. A pet lead, comprising of joint tubes length by intermediate straight or angle section, slotted channel for sliding mating halves, one with pet lead, an emergency release safety line inside the tubes and sliding unit.
2. A pet lead, according to claim 1 wherein the sliding taper ball-end and taper sleeve travel along inside the length of tubes fixed against the side of walls, fences, posts or in the ground and the separation of the two halves by the pet.
3. A pet lead, according to claim 1 and 2 wherein the distance is determinate by lengths of tubes and the inner safety line.
4. A pet lead, according to claim 1 wherein the slot is covered with hair fibre.
5. A pet lead, as claimed in any preceding claim whereby all parts are made from selected material from the group consisting of polyethylene, ionomers, polyesters, polyvinyl chloride and butadiene copolymers, or non ferrous metal.
6. A pet lead substantially as described wherein with reference to Figures 1--6 of the accompanying drawing.

Claims (6)
1. A pet lead, comprising of joint tubes length by intermediate straight or angle section, slotted channel for sliding mating halves, one with pet lead, an emergency release safety line inside the tubes and sliding unit.
2. A pet lead, according to claim 1 wherein the sliding taper ball-end and taper sleeve travel along inside the length of tubes fixed against the side of walls, fences, posts or in the ground and the separation of the two halves by the pet.
3. A pet lead, according to claim 1 and 2 wherein the distance is determinate by lengths of tubes and the inner safety line.
4. A pet lead, according to claim 1 wherein the slot is covered with hair fibre.
5. A pet lead, as claimed in any preceding claim whereby all parts are made from selected material from the group consisting of polyethylene, ionomers, polyesters, polyvinyl chloride and butadiene copolymers, or non ferrous metal.
6. A pet lead substantially as described wherein with reference to Figures 1--6 of the accompanying drawing.
