Abstract

A golfer's practice putting aid which returns the ball whether successfully putted or not has a vacuumed formed member supporting a planar centre member with a hole and is itself supported by a wire leg. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Golfers practice putting aid This invention relates to a golfers practice putting aid.
There are a number of gold putting aids on the market at the present time. Basically there are two types: a. one that holds the golf ball when putted successfully and b. a mechanical version operated by electricity or batteries which returns the ball when successfully putted.
According to the present invention it does not require mechanical power, i.e. electricity or batteries and with its wide field of play will return the ball whether successfully putted or not.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows in perspective the golfers practice putting aid complete.
Figure 2 illustrates a section through Figure 3 shows the centre plant Figure 4 shows the vacuumed formed sub carcass.
Referring to the drawing the golfers practice putting aid comprises of a centre plant (figure 3) made in hi-impact polystyrene, flock sprayed on top face, a vacuumed formed sub carcass (figure 4) formed from hi-impact polystyrene and a supporting wire leg with plastic ferrule (5).
The centre plant (Figure 3) is bonded onto the sub carcass (Figure 4) with the flock sprayed surface of the centre plant (Figure 3) upper most. When the golfers practice putting aid is required for play the supporting wire leg (5) is pushed into the socket situated in the centre of the radiused edge on the underside of the vacuumed formed carcass (Figure 4).
(See Figure 2 for wire leg (5) position).
1. The golfers practice putting aid comprises of a vacuumed formed sub carcass with a flock sprayed centre plant and a plastic ferruled wire leg.
2. The golfers practice putting aid as claimed in Claim 1 requires no mechanical power, i.e. electricity (batteries or mains).
3. The golfers practice putting aid as claimed in Claim 2 will return the golf ball whether the putt is successful or not (with the supporting wire leg in position).
4. The golfers practice putting aid as claimed in Claim 3 will hold golf balls when the golfers practice putting aid is in the flat position (without the support of wire leg).
5. The golfers practice putting aid substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1-4 of the accompanying drawing.
Amendments to the claims have been filed, and have the following effect: *(a) Claims 1,3 and 4 above have been deleted or textually amended.
*(b) New or textually amended claims have been filed as follows: 1. The golfer practice putting aid comprises of an injection vacuumed formed "U" channelled sub carcass with a flock sprayed centre plant and a wire leg with plastic ferrule.
3. The golfers practice putting aid as claimed in Claim 2 with the supporting wire leg in position and when in play will return the golf ball to the player whether the ball is successfully putted or not.
4. The golfers practice putting aid as claimed in Claim 3 when in play will hold golf ball when the golfer practice putting aid is in the flat position (sitting on ground orfloor without the support of wire leg).
