Abstract
214,441. Henry, J. J. April 6, 1923. Poultry houses; cages.-A perch P for poultry or other birds is carried upon a well or wells C containing the walls of the house or cage so as to prevent access of parasites, the perch being hollow with a slot, that may be zig-zag, spiral, or notched, and having a wick W<1> lying in the hollow and dipping into the disinfectant so that the vapour escapes along the perch. A well C may be placed at each end of the perch and supported on brackets B or a single central well, Fig. 7, may be used and supported on adjustable members R adapted to fit cages of different sizes. For pigeons a block P<x>, Fig. 8, is supported upon a double well C, C<x> and surrounded by a slotted tube P<3> in which is located a wick W.
