Abstract

A disposable chopping board overlay is made of plastics (eg polypropylene) or other similar material. It may be cleaned and re-used a few times or discarded after the first use. To preserve cleanliness it is supplied with a paper cover which is peeled off and discarded before use.

Description

SPECIFICATION Topa choput Topa Choput is a disposable chopping board overlay made of plastic (eg polypropylene) or other similar material and taking any form FIG 1 & 2 including rectangular. It may be cleaned and re-used a few times or discarded after the first use. To preserve cleanliness itis supplied with a papercover (TOPA) which is peeled off and discarded before use. This cover carries advertising.
TOPA = TLING ONE PEELADVERTISING) Claims are filed with patent 8317716 dated 30.06.1983 forthe productTOPACHOPUT(Chopping Board Overlay) as follows: It should be noted that each Topa Choput is protected for cleanliness by a paper cover and this cover carries advertising.
1. Choputoverlayscolourcoded and edges smoothed so that surplus chopped foodstuffs may be covered in clingfilm and stored in freezer.
2. MUSH MESH (M2) Choput overlays manufacturedwith all over perforations, diameterfold and edge contact seals so that chopped foodstuffs eg fruit or vegetables may be squeeged to extractjuices.
3. Choput overlays manufactured in various design sizes with centre removed to fitfood processors so that after removing the cutting elements, choput and chopped foodstuffs may be quickly removed and anewchoputinserted requiring onlythe rinsing of cutting elementsforthe next operation. (eg the choput may be turned inside out after removal from processor or put immediately into cooking receptacle and the choput removed later during the cooking process) NOTE: Somechoputoverlaysforfood processors will be perforated along one side it top of bowl to centre which is open to allow spindle for cutting elements.
These choput overlays may be separated at the perforations and opened for easier removal of chopped foodstuffs.
4. Similarto 2 above butdesignedforusewith herbs, spices etc and is placed with food being cooked. This choput overlay in addition to the normal perforations will have a special opening to hold a plastic probe (ARROWICH). Activated by the cooking process itself, the arrowich will indicate differing conditions by colour change etc and in advanced models actually switch off a cookerwhen a certain level is reached.
5. TWT (Tumbleweavethermal) built into the plastic of some choput overlays will have the capacity after being frozen to remain cold for a time allowing food to be kept or carried for a somewhat longer period than normal.
Claims are filed with patent8 317716 dated 30.06.1 for the productTOPA CHOPUT (Chopping Board Overlay) as follows: It should be noted that each Topa Choput is protected for cleanliness by a paper cover and this cover carries advertising.
CLAIMS 6. TOPA (Topa=Tling One Peel Advertising) is a paper cover carrying advertising and protecting the choputfor cleanliness. For purposes of definition "paper" to include paper with impregnated plastic or plastic (eg saran) svifable for silk screening with the appearance of paper.
Claims are filed with patent 8317716 dated 30.06.1983 for the productTOPA CHOPUT (DISPERS ABLE CHOPPING BOARD) asfollowsin addition to those numbered 1 to6alreadyfiled: It should be noted that each-Topa Choput except those listed as Claims 9 and 10 is protectedfor cleanliness by a paper cover and this cover carries advertising.
CLAIMS 7. Similartoclaim3 abovewiththeadditionthat fitted cutters (in this case usually plastic eg nylon etc) are also disposable. Especially suitable for puddings eg custards, ice-creams etc.
8. Topa coversomewhatthicker material to hold down edges of choput. When peeled off edges crinkle up to form a plate. Used with cling film to hold salads etc.
9. Topazippa. Similarto claim 8 but in two parts- top and bottom. (NB advertising directly printed on one part or both) These parts are held together by a watertight plastic zip-fastener. This ensures that contents are safely carried without spilling in briefcases etc. Also readyforthe new generation of mini microwave ovens.
10. MTZ (pronounced EM TE ZE) Minitopazippa.
Similar to claim 9 but small size to carry sauces, mixed chopped tomatoes and onions etc.
Claims are filed with patent 8317716 dated 30.06.1983 for the product TOPA CHOPUT (disposable chopping board) as follows in addition to those numbered 1 to 10alreadyfiled: It should be noted that each Topa Choput except those listed as Claims 9 and 10 is protected for cleanliness by a paper cover and this cover carries advertising.
CLAIMS 11. Similarto claims 9 and 10, this choput is the most used of these models as the plasticzipfastener self destructs after using once in keeping with:the disposable aspect ofthe design. NOTE: Heretopa covers used for cleanliness carry advertising.
