Description

SPECIFICATION Pasture fence device The invention relates to a pasture fence device having a switch which is disposed inside the housing and which can be actuated via a push-button mounted for displacement in the housing.
In a known pasture fence device of this type (DE-GM 1751 736), a switch constructed with contact springs is inserted in an aperture in the top of the housing and is in a recess in a superimposed handle.
Mounted for displacement in the wall of the handle is a push-button through which it is possible to act on one of the contact springs. The mounting of the switch directly in the housing with contact springs projecting out of the housing requires a separate covering as well as wiring flying free to other control means.
It is the object of the invention to provide a pasture fence device of the kind referred to above having a simple, operationally favourable arrangement of the switching and control means.
According to the invention, a device of the kind referred to is characterised in that the switch is secured to a control plate disposed in the hosing, that the push-button is mounted in a side wall of the housing and that the switch comprises a control plunger which lies in the axis of displacement of the push-button and lies with its end face flat opposite a pressure surface on the push-button.
In one construction of a pasture fence device according to the invention, the switching means are directly associated with the housing and are set in relation to one another so that the circuit means fixed at separate points of the housing are in correct operational relationship to one another without mutual direct connection.
Further preferred features of the invention will become apparent from the subordinate claims.
The invention is illustrated by way of example in the accompanying drawings, in which: Figure 1 is an under plan view of switching means installed in an upper housing portion of a pasture fence device according to one embodiment of the invention.
Figure 2 is a sectional view on the line A-A in Figure 1 and Figure 3 is a sectional view on the line B-B in Figure 1.
Referring to the drawings, in an upper housing portion 1 of a pasture fence device, a plurality of fence connection terminals 3, taken to the outside, are inserted in one side wall 2 while the opposite side wall 4 comprises a plurality of recesses 5 which are disposed side by side and in which push-buttons 6 are mounted for displacement perpendicular to the plane of the side wall 4. Each of the push-buttons 6 comprises a pressure surface 7 at its end projecting into the housing 1. Situated opposite the pressure surface 7 of a push-button 6 is a control plunger 8 of a switch 9, the end face 10 of the lounger 8 being situated opposite the pressure surface 7, separated from it. The control plunger 8 lies in the axis of displacement of the push-button 6. The switch 9 is secured to a control plate 11 which carries further circuit elements of the pasture fence device. The circuit elements, such as resistors and capacitors, provided on the control plate 11 are cast in a pourable compound 12. Apart from this, the control plate 11 is perpendicular to the side wall 4 and as a result can easily be inserted in appropriate holding means through the opening in the cover. As a result of the spearation between the pressure surface 7 of the push-button 6 and the end face 10 of the switch 9, no special assembly work need be carried out during assembly or dismantling. This also applies with regard to the additional push-buttons 6 and the contact springs 13 which are associated with their pressure surfaces 7 and which are disposed on a switch plate 14 disposed parailel to the side wall 4, inside the housing 1. In this case, too, the switch plate 14 merely needs to be pushed into the corresponding receivers of the housing. No special coupling measures have to be carried out between the additional push-buttons 6 and the contact springs 13. The control plate 11 and the switch plate 14 are disposed with portions of their edges adjacent side by side and are electrically connected through spring terminals 15, provided along these marginal portions, and counter contacts 16. The spring terminals 15 are fixed to the side of the switch plate 14 remote from the contact springs 13 and engage with their free ends under the control plate 11. The free ends of the spring terminals are in pressure contact with the ends of the contact pins 16 so that a reliable electrical contact is afforded. This contact connection is also effective without additional aids and occurs automatically when the plates 11, 13 are inserted.Apart from this, there is also an ignition transformer, through which the ignition voltage pulses are transmitted to the fence terminals 3, in the housing 1 as well as a voltage-divider plate 17.
1. A pasture fence device having a switch which is disposed inside the housing and which can be actuated via a push-button mounted for displacement in the housing, characterised in that the switch is secured to a control plate disposed in the housing that the push-button is mounted in a side wall of the housing and that the switch comprises a control plunger which lies in the axis of displacement of the push-button and lies with its end face flat opposite a pressure surface on the push-button.
2. A pasture fence device as claimed in Claim 1, wherein additional push-buttons are mounted for displacement in the side wall beside the push-button of the switch and that disposed parallel to the side wall inside the housing is a switch plate which carries a contact spring associated with each additional push-button which contact spring bears against the pressure surface of the particular pushbutton.
3. A pasture fence device as claimed in Ciaim 1 or 2, wherein the control plate and the switch plate are disposed with portions of their edges adjacent side by side and that fixed to one of the plates is at least one spring terminal which is in bearing contact
