Vehicle windows; frames.-India-rubber or like - channel-sectioned guides 4 for vehicle windows, have a metal or other reinforcing-strip 5 embedded or entirely located within the material. The strip may be entirely located in the base of the guide as shown in Fig. 2, or may be of U-section embedded within the sides and the base as shown in Fig. 3; in each case a housing mav be provided in the guide to receive the reinforcement. To increase the flexibility of the guide, longitudinal passages 6 are provided. The guide is secured to the upright 1 only at its upper end by a single screw which also penetrates the reinforcing-strip.
