Abstract
213,578. Vangen, A. March 26, 1923, [Convention date]. Targets.-Sectional targets with automatic indicating mechanism consist of target sections 1 each movable freely about their centres and connected to sliding rods 2, the rods 2 of each section being connected at their rear ends to spiders 3, the centres of which transmit their movement to the signals. The centres of the spiders contact with arms 5 of cranked levers 4, the other arms 7 of which engage the ends of levers 8, which together with parallel levers 12 form sets of parallel motions for supporting the indicators 10 which are counterbalanced by weights 11 free to swing. The position indicators 14 are also actuated by cranked levers 16 through cam-plates 18 which are adapted to be actuated by the motion of any of the sliding rods situated in the corresponding sectors of all the target sections.
