Abstract

An emergency sign to be placed inside a window to call outside help comprises an illuminated plastics box 1 provided with a cable 9, a handswitch 10 and a red light 16 at the top. The box is fitted with reflective aluminium foil 6 and the lid 5 is fitted with a white paper stencil 4 and a red transparent sheet 3 to shown the sign 'HELP 999 PLEASE'. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Window distress signal The invention relates to an apparatus of the type in which the complete box, consists of the signal box, with bulb, the mains carrying cable with a13 amp 3 pin mains type plug and the intermittently connected hand operating on-off switch. In the case of distress (help required) the hand operated switch to be put in the on-off position, the box gets internally illuminated, so the (HELP 999 PLEASE) letters and numbers become visible, at the same time a dome shaped red indicator level is also illuminated at the top of the box.
The two figure of the accompanying drawing illustrates a complete embodiment of the invention, figure 1. the front view, figure 2. the side view.
