212,737. Seavey, E. March 12, 1923. Foot-arch supports. -An arch-support for application below the sole of a boot or shoe consists of a tapering block 10 of rubber which may be provided with a non-slip plug 20 of gritty material such as cement, filings, emery &c., and a suction cup 21. The block 10 is narrower than the boot and in order to brace the arch b at the unsupported parts and also to attach the block to the boot, a base 12 of greater width than the block is secured to the sole by fasteners which pass through holes 14 in the base 12. The base holds the block by means of depending flanges. 15 whicb are indented or corrugated to grip the block. The block may also be vulcanized to the base and holding pins may be passed through the flanges 15 and the block. The base 12 may extend rearwardly to lie between the lifts of the heel a.
