Abstract

A pourer device (10) for cartons having closure flaps comprises two mutually engageable handle sections (12, 13) interconnected by a flexible strap element (11), at least one of the handle sections (12, 13) being formed to support a closure flap of the carton.As shown tongues (22) are arranged to be located behind the generally triangular flap of a drinks carton. In modifications the flap is supported by a set of ribs (45), the ends of which are staggered to support the lower edge of a flap, or by a V-shaped ledge. The strap element (11) may be provided with a piece of absorbent material to catch any drops from the spout of a carton.
