Gas cooking-stoves; casings; ovens; oven shelves; supports for articles to be heated. - A gas cooking-stove of the type described in Specification 182,028 comprises a stand 1 on which is. mounted a gas ring 2 which heats an oven 4 and also a circulator 3 to which water is supplied from a tank 5 and which is connected by flow and return. pipes 7, 9 to a tank 8 which may be fitted with a steamer 13 and a nozzle 14 for supplying steam to another vessel. Draw-off taps 10, 12 for cold and hot water are provided. Above the gas-ring 2 is a removable semi-cylindrical perforated hood' 16, Fig. 5, on which is a stand 17 for a cooking- vessel. The oven 4 has double walls packed with asbestos and preferably having a sheet of corrugated metal between; it is fitted with perforated' shelves 20 which may be provided on top with wires or a grid to support the dishes, and are formed with beaded edges 21, Fig. 4, sliding in slit tubes 22. A hinged flap 41 in the base carries a gas-ring 42 in an asbestos-lined casing 43 and is turned outwards when required for heating utensils upon it. Above the stove is a structure formed of rods, which comprises a plate-rack formed by the rods 31, 33, and carries a clothesdrier consisting of webs or the like 36 which may be mounted on a spring roller and are fitted with collapsable or other hooks 37 to support rods on which the clothes are hung to be dried by the heat from the oven. A blanket or the like 35 carried on the upper structure absorbs steam and keeps away dust. A pivoted flap 28 at the bottom of the oven door acts as a rest for dishes when in the horizontal position. The metal rods or tubing subjected to heat are whenever possible covered with bamboo to permit of handling. Specification 189,713, [Class 64 (i), Heating liquids &c.], is referred to.
