Abstract

207,837. Keller-Dorian et Cie. Dec. 4, 1922, [Convention date]. Void [Publislied under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Colour photography; films.-Relates to processes in which films having microscopic lenticular elements thereon are used, and consists in decreasing the size of the elements to such an extent that diffraction has a preponderating effect in the formation of the microscopic images of the ocular disc of the objective. The clearness and definition of the images are thus enhanced. The elements number 500 per sq. mm. or more and the number may be selected so that the diameter of each of them corresponds with the diffraction image whereby the whole of the sensitive film is utilized. The number of elements will varv according to the thickness of the film and the aperture used. Films having larger lenticular elements can be made to give the required diffraction effects by employing an opaque screen apertured to reduce the elements to the required size.
