Luggage racks.-A device for attachment to a luggage-grid or carrier for preventing chafing of the goods carried thereon comprises one or more strips of rubber or like elastic material A provid'ed at their ends with means for engaging end or side members of the grid and adapted to extend across the upper face of the grid. In the construction shown, the strips A are in the form of tubular lengths of rubber into the ends of which are fitted serrated metallic nose-pieces B having pivoted thereto hooks C for engaging the side members E of the grids, which, when opened flat, places the rubber tubes A in tension.
