Abstract

Play-back stylus for video and record disks, which stylus has a shank (1) forming a stylus tip A and having a rectangular or flattened polygonal shape in its horizontal sectional shape perpendicular to the central axis L'. The sides of the horizontal sectional shape are different in length in such a manner that, assuming one side is "1" in length, the other side is less than 1.2 //cBA 2. The point (2) of the stylus tip A may be so formed that the central axis L thereof is coincident with the central axis L' of the shank (1) or eccentric with respect to the central axis of the shank (1).
